My last post was something of a rant about how it’s hard to come up with ideas. I made a few failed prototypes and otherwise wasted my time for the past weeks, but someone recently gave me the idea to “remaster” the first mobile game I made with Unity. I know I said I was done with idle games, but this shouldn’t take too long right?
I posted this on the Google Play store almost exactly a year ago, and for reasons of stability (eg. saving was completely messed up, I was storing ‘objects’ as 2D string arrays and other such idiocy etc.) it was delisted. Better to not have that anywhere.
The store listing. Not bad for a first project, but I can do a lot better than this now.
Those screenshots are all I have left of this game, since I’ve lost the original file and the keystore password (There’s a secret password you need to keep in order to update your apps, and its unrecoverable if you lose it. Naturally, I lost it.)
Right now, it looks like this:
**New style: Dropshadow!

I’m preparing a preview once I iron out some spaghetti code like this:
Exhibit A: How not to write a switch statement.
Anyways, if school doesn’t get too busy, I should have a preview out by next week Friday. I’ll post something to my Youtube channel and here as well.
